“In our fibre-optic world of tweets and tablets, we are more conscious of the world around us. The technicolour violence and humanitarian abuses of today are just a flick of a switch away. In our homes, on the train, in our coffee shops, we see it, we feel it, we know about it. All of us. All of the time. Human suffering is visible, constantly.”~Peter Maurer

I love this picture so much. I was standing on my deck as thunder boomed in the distance while I looked in amazement at the changing colors of the sky and the clouds. I thought this is what life is about as the sky is mimicking all of our varying degrees of emotions and reality in one moment. There is a blue sky, white fluffy clouds and menacing gun metal clouds happening simultaneously. I can relate!

On FB there are a lot of fun things to browse through and then in the mix at times I can feel assaulted by the different types of abusive pictures and words. I decided a few months ago to stop scrolling and give myself a maximum of 30 minutes a day on that forum.  But I want to publish my blogs!  So I publish them and move on. I released the need for a television years ago and have not missed it at all. I listen to Sirius radio or Pandora where I am in “charge” of what music I will hear according to my moods/frame of mind. I read one book a week sometimes more depending on my time and mood. And no matter how I try to insulate myself from the bombardment of energy, words and experiences~ I am still living in this world of movement, words, energy and outside experiences.

Each one of us has the opportunity to create a world within this world. What world are you creating?

So what Do I do? What do WE do? Lock ourselves away? Be more insular in life? Some choices can feel a bit daunting!

OR we can start by taking small steps…

  1. Learn to manage our own energetic life force so that if bombarded there is a solid foundation to rest upon.
  2. Learn to contain and regulate our own emotional body through connecting to our rich inner world
  3. Get real with ourselves ~as hard as that might be~ it can be scary to look deeply within ourselves
  4. Take ownership and responsibility for our judgements and biases without self criticism
  5. Allow for my/our humanity without reprimand or self-coercion (inner negative talking)

These suggestions take time and desire to be able to see yourself through clearer loving and inner focused eyes. You can think of it as a perceptive reframing of your life.

YOU HAVE TO WANT IT MORE THAN WHAT IS BEING SHOWN!

SEE WHAT YOU DESIRE TO SEE

SPEAK THE WORDS THAT YOU DESIRE TO HEAR

LOVE THE WAY YOU DESIRE TO BE LOVED

WHAT IS IT THAT YOU WANT TO FEEL?

LIFE CAN BE FUN~

EVERYTHING IS A CHOICE!
